Maxence relays the flame in Orléans (45)
Maxence LEGENDRE (Agriculture, 2010, Beauvais) had the honor of carrying the Olympic flame on July 10 in Orléans (45), where he lives with his wife Adeline LEGENDRE (née SPRONI) (Alimentation & Santé, 2010, Beauvais), whom he met during their studies at our school.
Professionally, Maxence is an advisor at the Loiret Chamber of Agriculture. But it's his commitment to sport and community life that really sets him apart. A badminton enthusiast from an early age, he is an active member of the CLTO club. His dedication as a volunteer led him to help organize the French Parabadminton Championships in 2019, a major event for the club.
His passion for badminton and his commitment to the club were recognized when he was chosen to carry the Olympic Flame. The nomination was put forward by his wife Adeline, who wanted to thank him for his support during the two years she was ill, a period during which Maxence had to put aside some of his voluntary responsibilities.
Adeline told us that the moment was "timeless, unifying and a time for sharing". A touching testimony that underlines the importance of solidarity and personal commitment.
Our warmest congratulations to Maxence for this wonderful recognition, and our thanks to Adeline for sharing her story with us!
