Christian HUBERT (Agriculture, 1999, Beauvais) spoke to Le Parisien about his choice of soil conservation agriculture!

Since setting up in 1999, his approach has been based on three fundamental principles: zero tillage, permanent soil cover and rational crop rotation.

Seeking to diversify local crops, Christian turned to lentils, hoping to offer a tastier, GMO-free alternative. He sees this choice as an agronomically low-risk gamble. Calling it a "magic plant", he emphasizes its health benefits, its ability to fix atmospheric nitrogen, its adaptation to poor soils, its low water consumption and its resistance to disease.

In addition to lentils, he also manages the Plaine de Versailles oil mill, an area of around 150 hectares dedicated to the sustainable production of cereals and oil-protein crops, in particular rapeseed. In addition to its aesthetic role in the spring landscape, rapeseed is a crucial environmental resource for oil production. The rapeseed transformation process involves receiving, cleaning, storing and cold-pressing the seeds, thus preserving all their goodness.
