Brice: an engineer with a passion for birds in "Des racines & des ailes".

Brice LE MAIRE (Agriculture, 2008, Beauvais) appeared on "Des racines & des ailes", broadcast on France 3 on January 8, 2025.

On this program, he shared his passion for observing migratory birds. We meet him at the Col de l'Escrinet, in the Ardèche, the perfect place to observe their passage. An agricultural engineer, he's been coming here since he was a child. His family's vacations have always been decided with the birds in mind, and needless to say, this profession has been a vocation since he was very young.

For Brice, "better insectivores than insecticides". That's why he set up his own company, Agri Nichoirs, specializing in the construction, installation and monitoring of nesting boxes on agricultural plots. He has already installed 20,000 nesting boxes throughout France.

During the report, he installs a prototype of a large nesting box weighing over 200 kg in a vineyard. This nesting box is designed to accommodate several species, including storks, bats, barn owls, swallows and kestrels. A superb colocation for biodiversity!
