At the Heart of Space Innovation

Sébastien GRANDJEAN (Energy Engineering & Digital Systems, 1998, Amiens), is Director of the Major Projects Department at Eiffage Énergie Systèmes. Recently on assignment in French Guiana, he had the opportunity to witness the arrival of the Ariane 6 core body aboard the Canopée boat. This impressive logistical set-up enabled the main and upper stages to be transported from mainland Europe to the European spaceport.

As part of its investments in factory 4.0 and connected objects, Airbus Safran Launchers awarded Eiffage Énergie Systèmes the contract to build an automated workshop for the production of nozzles for the solid rocket boosters on Ariane 6 and Vega. Specializing in industrial processes, the company is responsible for electrical production and distribution systems, lightning protection on launch pads, and safety and servitude control systems at launch sites in Europe and French Guiana. It also develops control systems for launch vehicles.
